Job Summary: 
The Office of Intercultural Affairs at Albion College invites applications for the position of Umbrella House Monitor. This position will allow for “open hours” at the Umbrella House, creating a space for students to study, commune with friends, relax, and be. The house monitors will work approximately 5 hours per week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Monitoring the house to ensure that safety, cleanliness, and organization is maintained by those utilizing it
• Completing hourly rounds of the house
• Filling out house condition reports
• Working and communicating with Umbrella Presidents and the Office of Intercultural Affairs (ICA).
• Preparing coffee/tea for those utilizing the house
• Minimal cleaning (washing the mugs after they are used, sweeping, dusting)

Qualifications: 
• Current student in good academic standing with the College
• Enthusiasm for diversity
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Reliable and conscientious

Approx Hours: 
Five hours per week

Hourly Wage: 
Minimum wage
