Pay rate Albion hourly pay rate, free room and board, free café meals when dining is open Immediate Supervisor Associate Director of Camps and Conferences Length/Hours Early May – Mid-August, Hours will vary and include am/pm shifts including weekends Mission: Albion College Conference Services will provide exemplary customer service to the Colleges internal and external customers. This is achieved through attention to detail, professionalism, maintaining high standards, and exceeding customers’ expectations of engagement of all who attend Albion College events and programs on and off campus.

Summary: The Summer Conference Coordinator Internship (SCC) is supervised by the Associate Director of Camps and Conferences, and directly supports the office of Conference Services and Events. The SCC coordinates and delivers onsite services for 40-60 summer programs at Albion College. Qualifications:  Knowledge of campus property  Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills  Ability to work directly with clients and campus organizations to exceed expectations  Driver’s License required  Lifeguard certification preferred but not required Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Goodwill Ambassador for Albion College. Represent Albion College in a positive way and see to it that our campus guests have an excellent experience. Customer service is very important and we are looking for individuals that want to share their enthusiasm with our guests. 2. Manage event coordination for conferences. Direct and/or execute general preparation for assigned groups, including meeting facility preparation (room set-up, AV equipment, internet access, etc.) residence hall room inspections, daily inspection of assigned areas and reporting any and all maintenance needs, preparation of conference key packets and distribution to individual conference groups, regular inventory of keys, linens, furniture and other conference materials. 3. Conference Liaison. Act as a resource person to all conference event participants and perform registration (check-in/out) duties as needed. SCC staffs the Baldwin reception desk, meets with groups during their designated meal time, monitors outside camp activities, and facilitates execution of all special events. Additionally, SCC will provide after hour and weekend support to clients as needed. 4. Special Project. Each intern manages an on-site conference or camp from pre-coordination to event departure. This consists of taking a lead role in managing conference dining and facility logistics, attend weekly pre-event meetings, staff scheduling, and overall support for the day-to-day implementation of the appointed summer conference.

Working Conditions: Work both indoors and outdoors including standard office conditions, repetitive use of a keyboard, physical activity and lifting standing or walking for extended periods of time. Additionally, must be physically and mentally capable of performing multiple tasks under extended heavy pressure and to function in a fast-paced environment.
