Job Summary: 

Job description: Albion College, a selective, private, residential liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Umbrella House & Welton House Monitor. This position will allow for “open hours” throughout the day; creating a space for students to study, commune with friends, relax, etc. The house monitors will work 6-12 hours per week. 

Responsibilities include (are not limited to:) 

• Monitoring the house(s) to ensure that safety, cleanliness, and organization is maintained by those utilizing the house 

• Completing hourly rounds of the house 

• Filling out house condition reports

• Working & Communicating with Umbrella Presidents and Intercultural Affairs (ICA.) 

• Preparing coffee for those utilizing the house

• Minimal cleaning (washing the mugs after they are used, sweeping, dusting)

Qualifications: 

Qualifications include: 

• In good academic standing with the College

• Current student

• Enthusiasm for diversity and culture

• Strong interpersonal skills

Approx Hours: 

6-12 hours per week
