Statistics Tutor

The Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management is seeking a candidate for the position of statistics tutor (for MATH 209) for afternoon study sessions with our 2019 summer school cohort. This position is temporary in duration, from May 13, 2019 to June 28, 2019. Expected hours will be from 1:30pm to 4:00pm (varying times within this range) two to three days per week depending on availability and needs of the program.

We will also consider candidates with the capability to work remotely, via Skype, Zoom, Google VideoCall, or some other approved video conferencing software.

The ideal candidate:

-         Will have high-level statistics knowledge

-         Will demonstrate patience and skill in facilitating study sessions

-         Will provide guidance, but not reveal answers to specific work problems

-         Will be accommodating and flexible

Qualifications:

-         Completion of MATH 209 or higher with a grade of 3.3 or higher.

Expected hours:

-         2 to 6 hours per week
