Job Summary:
The sports information office is seeking a video producer/editor to support the ideation, development and implementation of Albion Athletics content with a focus on digital and social opportunities. This is for internship credit or student employment up to 20 hours per week. This position will report to the assistant athletic director for sports information.
Qualifications:
Snapshot of responsibilities
• Lead in the creative development, production, preparation and delivery of Albion Athletics content for social media/You Tube channels
• Flexibility to produce a variety of content, ranging from game highlight packages, special events (Athletic Hall of Fame highlights and community service events) and student-athlete profiles
• Ensure the selection of content/highlights is consistent with Albion viewer trends to drive consumption to where the Albion audience is while applying sound editorial judgment
• Perform pre- and post-production digital video editing optimized for sharing
• Coordinate with the sports information director to shape content and copy into video segments for digital and social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube) and the video board at home football games
What you will need
• Strong knowledge of digital video production related techniques and online content management systems
• Proficiency in technology platforms and graphic design software packages (After Effects, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro) required
• An ability to create and produce compelling stories; generates and executes ideas, from concept to execution
• Organized, detail oriented, proactive and a team player
• Able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Approx Hours:
up to 20 hours per week (variable dependent on events and projects)
Hourly Wage:
9.50
