Treasury Assistant (student employee)

The Business Office supervises cash management and supports proper expenditure to promote the growth of the College. The Treasury Assistant has broad responsibility for financial accounting, treasury management and control and compliance of the College. He/she participates as part of the Business Office team in development of accounting policies and procedures that promote productive, efficient processes and customer friendly service to both internal and external customers of the institution.
General Duties (all levels)
  • Assists the Senior Finance Analyst in tracking the daily cash needs of the College.
  • Assists in  the timely completion of institutional surveys (AAUP, GLCA, IPEDS, HEDS, Census reports and others as deemed necessary).
  • Assists the Senior Finance Analyst with the completion of monthly, quarterly and year end financial reports.
  • Assists with the fiscal administration of Investments, Annuity, Unitrust and other life-income agreements, including accounting, monthly reconcilement, reporting, tax, and compliance.
  • Manages the monthly reconciliation process for all bank cash accounts.
  • Assists in maintaining the fixed assets system.  
  • Assist in reporting calendar year-end 1099 miscellaneous reporting and distribution.
  • Strategic understanding of the accounts payable process.
  • Prepare and process journal entries.
Entry-Level Treasury Assistant:
  • Knowledge of College mission, services, policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of personal computer applications including but not limited to spreadsheets, word processing and databases (Google Sheet, Docs, MS Word, Excel).

  • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential material.  
  • Ability to meet deadlines and process information in a timely fashion.
Upper Level Treasury Analyst:
  • Take the lead on completing cash management reporting.
