FYE Peer Mentor
The Cutler Center for Student Success is committed to break down silos, develop student-centered strategies, create connected networks across campus, and enhance our capacity to be a more effective learning organization. Staff in the Cutler Center will provide tutoring, fellowship advising, disability accommodations, academic coaching, supplemental advising, and emergency financial support. The First-Year Experience (FYE) Peer Mentor Program is designed to help first-year students make a smooth transition from high school to college. As part of our staff team, the Cutler Center is seeking applications for the position of FYE Mentor. FYE Mentors are committed to supporting first-year students throughout their first year at Albion College, addressing concerns related academic, social, and psychological adjustment to college. Mentors facilitate weekly Community Meetings that focus on topics that help students connect to the campus community and build capacities that will aid in their adjustment both in and out of the classroom.
