Cutler Center Student Ambassador

The Cutler Center for Student Success is committed to providing all the services and supports that students need to be successful at Albion. Staff in the Cutler Center provide tutoring, writing support, fellowship advising, disability accommodations, academic coaching, supplemental advising, and emergency financial support. As part of our staff team, the Cutler Center is seeking applications for our CC Student Ambassador position. Student Ambassadors are the first contact and communication with those in need of our services. They serve as enthusiastic and helpful greeters to those who arrive in Stockwell. They will be able to help educate visitors, including students, faculty, and staff, about the support services offered through the Cutler Center and other Albion College programs. This role also encompasses some administrative work which is vital to the everyday operations and long-term goals of the Cutler Center. 
General Duties (all levels)

  • Greet guests in the evenings and provide information on services and connect them to appropriate tutors/supports
  • Document any relevant information for professional staff so they can follow-up with students
  • Represent the Center by tabling at various campus event and location for prospective and new students
  • Assist staff with a variety of tasks including inputting/organizing physical & electronic files, copying, printing and other jobs & technology needs as requested
  • Communicate with staff, in person or written, on status of jobs if not completed in a shift
  • Advise students on how to make appointments or see professional staff members
  • Maintain general cleanliness – wipe down counters, tables, furniture as needed, wipe down computer & keyboard at student desk, tidy kitchen area
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Use ACIS Time Clock to accurately record work hours as required for each session
  • Report to work shift on time as scheduled
Upper Level 4 Cutler Center Student Ambassador Pay Rate $11
  • Assist the Cutler Center Director with program development, facilitating initiatives, and the recruitment and hiring process of new Ambassadors.
  • Provide additional support to new Student Ambassadors as needed
  • Help with the training and mentoring of new Student Ambassadors
  • Previous experience as a Cutler Center Ambassador prefered

All forms should be completed in ink, not pencil and students should use their permanent address on all forms unless the permanent address is an international address.
